A Universe of Stories Summer Reading Program June 17 - August 17
Our annual Summer Reading Program starts Monday June 17 and goes through Saturday August 17.  This year's theme is Space: A Universe of Stories. Participation is easy!  For children ages 0 -12, just read your age in hours (ages 0 -4 read a minimum of four hours) to qualify for some really cool prizes!  Teens 13 - 18, read anything you like and when you finish, fill out an entry form to get a chance to win prizes.  Adults - read anything you like and fill out an entry form. Meet Up and Eat Up Returns to Port Huron Library June 17 - August 23
The Port Huron/Main Library branch is pleased to announce its participation in the Summer Food Service Program for 2019. Free Breakfast and Lunch will be made available to children 18 years of age and under or person(s) up to the age of 26 which are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a State or Local Public Educational Agency. The meals will be provided without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Temple Grandin Lecture Video Now Available!

Pamela Baunoch, Homeland Security Planner has been in the Public Safety field for the last 40 years as a 1st Responder. She is a paid call firefighter and EMT. The program will give you tips to stay safe during emergencies.

Story Time From Space
Come watch and listen to a real astronaut read a story out loud, while in outer space! Fun for the whole family. Some weeks will also include educational demonstrations designed by Veteran Canadian Astronaut, Bjarni Tryggvason, to complement the science concepts found in the Story Time From Space books. Children of all ages and their families are welcome.

Drive-In Movie @ The Library/ Summer Reading Kick Off
Create your own "car" out of a cardboard box between 11 am-12 pm. Then park your car for G-rated "Fly Me To The Moon" movie from 12-2 pm. Fun for the whole family. Supplies provided. Pizza, popcorn & beverages all provided. Registration requested.
