Tablets Available @ Your Library
Thanks to a surprise $10,000 grant, awarded by the Community Foundation of St. Clair County in a random drawing at its 2012 Annual Dinner, the St. Clair County Library System is now able to provide twenty-six Samsung Galaxy Tabs for patrons use throughout the county. Each library location now offers tablets pre-loaded with games appropriate for children with no Internet access. This is a fun way to familiarize kids with the up & coming technology! An adult with a library card in good standing can check the tablet out for the child to use. The tablets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, may be borrowed for a period of up to two hours per checkout and must remain in the library at all times. Each patron who checks out a tablet must sign a Borrower’s Agreement, accepting responsibility for making sure the tablet is returned to the Circulation Desk on time and in good condition.
